A Lifetime of Service.
A Stronger League City.
For more than 45 years, Tommy Cones has dedicated his life to public service — from the fire service to the city council — working to keep League City a safe, strong, and thriving community for generations to come.
MEET TOMMY
His Journey to Public Service Started with a Bicycle Ride.
At just 15 years old, Tommy Cones left Houston, determined to build a better life. He rode his bicycle more than two and a half hours to Kemah, where he joined the Kemah Volunteer Fire Department — a decision that would shape his future and ignite a lifelong passion for serving others.
Since 1981, Tommy has called League City home. From a 32-year career with the Houston Fire Department to more than 12 years on the League City City Council, his life has been defined by service, leadership, and a deep commitment to this community.
